Zoellick in Africa to push free trade

US trade representative Robert Zoellick arrived in Dakar, Senegal, late on Tuesday at the start of a five-nation African tour to push global free trade negotiations.
Zoellick will also visit Benin, Mali, Namibia and Lesotho during the week-long tour to discuss ways to advance the Doha round of World Trade Organisation trade liberalisation talks.
In Namibia, Zoellick will meet trade ministers from the five Southern African Customs Union (Sacu) nations - Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland - to discuss a possible free trade agreement between the US and Sacu. - Sapa-AFP, Dakar
